kayaking

The Kyles of Bute are perfect for kayaking.  The safe sheltered waters of the Kyles of Bute with the open water to the south dominated by the mountains of Arran, make the area a first class destination for kayakers. All are very welcome to stay at Carry Farm where there is plenty of space for safe boat storage and launching your kayak ,  with access for a car to get to the shore.

We are fortunate to work in collaboration with the highly skilled and experienced Sea Kayak Argyll to offer 5 day Sea Kayak courses based at Carry Farm.

Sea Kayak Argyll use friendly, professional, qualified guides and coaches and operate throughout the Cowal Peninsula, the Isle of Bute and along Argyll’s ’Secret Coast’, all offering stunning scenary and wildlife. They are the first Scottish ISKGA Centre and are now offering both BCU and ISKGA accredited courses and qualifications.

In addition to being an International Sea Kayak Guide and BCU Sea Kayak Leader, Head Guide Phil Keetley’s outdoor qualifications include Canoe and Kayak Coach, Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor, RYA Coastal Skipper and Mountain Bike Leader. He is a Rescue and Emergency Care Advanced First Aider and First Aid Instructor and holds the Royal Geographic Society Off Site Safety Management Certificate.
