If fresh water fishing is more your sport then permits for Loch Ascog and the Powder Dams are available from Kames Post Office.

The River Ruel, which flows through beautiful area of Glendaruel, 20 minutes from Carry Farm, provides wonderful salmon and seatrout fishing. This classic West Coast of Scotland/Argyll spate river starts as a moorland stream on the northern slopes of Cruach an Lochain before flowing into a steep gorge.
