Whether you enjoy sea, loch or river fishing, Tighnabruaich offers it all.  The pier is a popular location for anglers to spend the day with plenty of space to give everyone a bit of elbow room. If you would rather get afloat then contact Donald from DC Marine who offers boat trips including the opportunity to try your hand at fishing for Mackerel, Pollock, Saithe, Cod and Codling. All the necessary fishing gear is carried on board. Enthusiastic anglers can charter the boat purely for fishing expeditions and visit the best fishing grounds in the area.

If fresh water fishing is more your sport then permits for Loch Ascog and the Powder Dams are available from Kames Post Office.

The River Ruel, which flows through beautiful area of Glendaruel, 20 minutes from Carry Farm, provides wonderful salmon and seatrout fishing. This classic West Coast of Scotland/Argyll spate river starts as a moorland stream on the northern slopes of Cruach an Lochain before flowing into a steep gorge. Below the gorge the river is a series of deep runs, smooth flowing pools and fast shallow streams. Fishing, which is fly only, can be booked either on line via  or by phoning Andrew Barker on 07500 661328.
